I am new to this site and pretty new to film making and i need help in designing my costumes. Its going to be a short movie thats pretty much like Freddy vs. Jason. In the movie, i'm playing freddy and I need a very good mask. My main problem is that if I buy a cheap Halloween mask the mouth won't move when I talk. Please Help me find a mask.

No idea where you're at or what you're looking for exactly :
http://www.horror-masks.com/ http://www.morbid.demon.co.uk/
http://www.thehorrordome.com/
no idea if those will be any good to you. There is abundance of choice at the moment because the stores will be full of horror paraphernalia it being almost halloween.

Oh just thought I'd ask. Is it not at all possible to forgo the masks and use some sort of make up? At least that would solve your problem about the mouth not moving. I'm sure there must be a good book around for horror make up - with a little practice it must get easier(christ have you seen some of those women around town on a weekend ) !!!
Just a thought.

Apparently there is a 'freddy kruegar make up kit' available this site mentions it and explains how you apply the kit, unfortunately it didn't give stockists

I dont think I will be going with this idea either. Not to be mean Optimal, but if you read the last paragraph in the article it says,
"Final Thoughts: Avoid. You'll probably want to go for it when you see the cheap price tag, but you're better off covering your head in tin foil and telling people you're Destro. For me, the search continues. Maybe I'll be Jason. At least I won't have to draw on my face for an hour to be him. Freddy, they're just not doing you justice anymore. I apologize on behalf of Technifaces and bad costume designers around the world. See you in **** ."
So in conclusion, my search also continues to find the perfect Freddy Mask. P.S.- Im not sure if I mis- interpreted my question, but the price doesn't matter to me. As lon as its within the $100 range!)

perhaps you could purchase an average freddy
mask and clip it around the lower half...
and by adding appropriate makeup... compensate
for the missing mouth piece.
eyelash glue works great in securing latex to
the face... though its rather bothersome to
remove.
